I’m incredibly thrilled that the End Unfair Evictions campaign ran jointly by Generation Rent, ACORN, London Renters Union, Tenants Union UK and the New Economics Foundation has just won an award for Best Coalition Campaign at the SMK National Campaign Awards 2020.
The last thing on my desk before I left my job as Campaigns Manager at Generation Rent was to apply for this award and even with a global pandemic delaying the ceremony by months – it doesn’t stop feeling really great!
Unfortunately between a change of Prime Minister, a snap general election and a pandemic, we’ve yet to see the Renters Right Bill make it onto the legislative agenda. So whilst the commitment is there – the campaign is far from won.
